Berkeley & MIT Webcasts

“Information wants to be free”… Well a couple of “hallowed” halls of learning are doing their bit to assist it.

Berkeley is offering free webcasts of several different courses. Every semester, UC Berkeley webcasts select courses and events for live viewing and on-demand replay over the Internet.

Courses appear to lean in the direction of science and technology and stream using Realplayer (bugger???), and archives go back as far as 2001. If you’re into learning just for it’s own sake , Berkeley’s free webcasts of entire semesters worth of courses are a pretty cool way to pick up some education in your spare time.

MIT has a similar offering at MIT OpenCourseWare

MIT offers mp3’s as well as Real Audio (get over it guys!!!) downloads. So you can pop a lecture on your MP3 player and listen on the way to work.
