Tux Paint is a free drawing program designed for young children (kids ages 3 and up). It has a simple, easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects (annoy the boss), and an encouraging (annoying?) cartoon mascot who helps guide children as they use the program.
It provides a blank canvas and a bunch of drawing tools to help your inner child be creative.
Best of all, it’s available for Windows, Mac, and some *NIX and Linux distros. Plus, it works on slower machines and thin-client computers for those schools that can’t afford the latest hardware. Nifty!
This one is a download and install job. Your IT support people may get annoyed… offer them chocolate.
