Monday Morning “Impediment to Productivity” – 200511028

Thank you for the comments, by all means keep sending the emails but
consider dropping some of the stuff in to the comments on the blog.

Well Christmas is bearing down on us like a runaway truck in a Bruce
Willis movie, so here are some bits and pieces that have shown up in the
last week.

Straight up, wait ’til the boss is out of the place and then check this
out. The volume really needs to be somewhere around eleven. (sorry the URL was just too long)

The band is the Trans Siberian Orchestra who have some more samples of
their work here.
The song on the video is Wizards In WInter. This is a BIG sound.

This is a bit weird but we are going to increase your personal
productivity. Over the next month the ever present problem of sending 3
Mega Pixel pictures of the festivities to the your friends and family is
about to rear it’s ugly head. So here are a few suggestions to get
around that miserly 2 Meg restriction on email attachments.

No1: Dropsend is a “free” service DropSend is the
new way to send large files online. You can also use it as an online
hard drive. You don’t have to install anything on your computer, and
there’s no long-term contract. Try it for free! (they give you 250M for
the free account).

No2: Get a Gmail account and get your friends to get one (10M limit I
believe). Leave a comment on the blog and I will send you a GMail invite.

No3: Go to the ThatchSpace blog and click on Pages and have a look at
“Preparing pictures for email”
and learn how to use Irfanview to shrink the piccies down to a user
friendly size.

Flash Game… Ooops I nearly forgot the Flash game. This week we will
have a look at Submachine. If you have played Myst or Zork it will take
you 2 seconds to figure out what is going on (I really enjoyed the bell
puzzle). If you haven’t played Myst … Why The Hell Not?
Go and get yourself a copy for Christmas in the meantime…

40 years ago Arlo Guthrie got arrested for littering.
How time flies when you’re having fun.

This weeks I had nothing to do with it Blame {insert alert
reader here} Department is this item from Sylvanie, it broke me up.
Also have a look at it’s a wonderful
exercise in bandwidth consumption.

Have a good week. Pop into the blog ( )for the odd update during the

Also let me know if you don’t want this any more
