DriverPacks

I like obsession and you really have to see this one to believe it. Some one has decided to to try to amalgamate the latest version of every known software driver in the universe onto one CD for the purposes of creating an unattended Windows XP setup disk that would work on literally any PC.

And he’s making extremely good headway on this project!

DriverPacks.net

I’ve started these DriverPacks because I wanted to achieve a Uniform UXPCD. Why in the world would you want support for all available hardware, I hear you thinking. Well, that’s easy to explain: to be able to use these unattended Windows XP installation CD’s on any computer (of course one that’s capable of running Windows XP).

There are 8 driver packs that make up the project, and they cover
Chipset, CPU, Graphics, LAN, MassStorage, Sound, and WLAN
Driverpacks BASE contains all the required documentation and batch files to slipstream the drivers onto a Windows XP setup CD, and even includes an UpdateChecker to ensure everything is as up-to-date as it can be.

Way to go.
