Eye Candy – Desktop Backgrounds Part III

Here is Part Three ( of what is threatening to become a never ending story).

I am still wandering through these sites looking for something new… the problem is that there is so much stuff . Here is this weeks lot.

InterfaceliftLets start with interfacelift. And the name appears to be the site’s mission in life. OS ecumenical and tons of really good stuff… I rather liked the sunset one, it looked great at the 1280X1024 resolution.
Here is some of their hype…

Well worth a look.

twistedsun Now lets pop over to twisted sun and have a look at the Classics section of desktops.

John Carey has been doing the web thing for over 5 years and like a lot of us it’s a toy that got out of control. I really like a lot of the nature shots ( it’s good to have some green in your day).
and my apologies to any arachnophobes out there.
Here is some of John’s story…

It took a few years but I am slowly realizing where my passion really lies and that is within photography. Although I am still an active graphic designer I feel a much deeper connection to photography. I love having the ability to expose the subtleness in the world around me and share these discoveries with others through photos. I had decided to start making some of my photography available as desktops on my website because I liked the idea of having my images used by people around the world in their everyday life. It seems amazing to me that this is possible.

Lets finish up today with Pixelgirl. Lots of different artists and lots of different resolutions here. But not necessarily “work safe”,

Some of these images can also be found over at deviantart.

“The Journey of the Slug” made me laugh although somehow I don’t think it would last very long on my desktop.

The bottom line is that there is probably enough stuff out there for you to change your desktop everyday and never ever run out. But I still haven’t found anything to replace my current favourite.

I think I will have to come back and revisit this in another couple of months and see what’s new.
