Monday Morning “Impediment to Productivity” – 20060227

Here we go again.

Lets begin this week once again with Blame
This weeks “Don’t Blame Me, It’s {insert poor unsuspecting victims name here} Fault” is Rob B.
and I quote
“something to sharpen reflexes for next monday morn
http://www.urban75.com/Mag/java7.html
this might be a bit humble, ntw

Just thought I’d let u know I was still watchin

Regards Rob B”

See it’s wise not to put your head up.

Now lets have a look at some architecture…
Why? because it made me smile.
I wish they had some bigger photo’s on this next site. I love the robot building, I keep expecting Godzilla to come along and try and kick it to death.

and a helicopter pilot in over Mexico City has put up some amazing aerial shots

Continuing on (and I’m not making this up remember)…
“J-Marimba Ponies is a Japanese marimba ensemble group, comprised of 8 young percussionists ranging from 4 to 13 years in age. The primary objective of the group is to foster goodwill and friendship through
the universal language of music. No conductors or music sheets are used by the J-Marimba Ponies. The music is memorised completely and flows out of the children’s instruments through the use of their own individual rhythms and emotions.”
Checkout Sabre Dance. Not a lot you can say really.

This is a hoot and it’s written using PHP (clever sods)
Here is the deal, there is a picture of Einstein at writing on a blackboard.

Some of you will have spent way to much time in the last week or two watching people turn them into ballistics bits and pieces. I know I have. So I found this little gem to help wean you off your Winter Olympics fix.
http://www.killsometime.com/games/Game.asp?ID=419
and I don’t believe this one. Aggressive Alpine Skiing… (very very loud)
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/219667

I read this and cracked up..i if the game is only half as good as the “adspeak” it should be a ripper. Sadly I am pathetic at these style of games.
Here is the hype…
“ZeldereX Online is a free multiplayer strategy browser game, in
which players assume the role of a low class business man struggling
to develop his own massive corporation that seeks world domination
using many cutthroat tactics. (Hmmm) Using unique, highly
customisable tools, you are able to create massive armies, covert op
teams, transport them through all types of terrain, equip them with
different weapons/tools, plant cameras/bombs, hire personnel, develop
new technologies, build vehicles/siege weapons/buildings, hack into
enemy computers, raise the dead, and far more to achieve your goals.”

Raise the dead?????

Good Luck and tell me if you survived

  1. Wow- remember ET might be a malicious hacker?! 29/11/05
Uniques Daily’s “The Many Unusual Looking Buildings On Earth” Wilson Hall is the workplace of where Richard Carrigan, who believes scientists searching the heavens for signals from extra-terrestrial civilisations are putting Earth’s security at risk, by distributing the jumble of signals they receive to computers all over the world.
    explains a bit, doesn’t it.

  2. I remeber you saying in your last comment ( http://www.pretentia.com/thatchspace/wordpress/2005/11/29/et-might-be-a-hacker/#comments) about the buffalo wandering around and causing havoc. So now will now see cattle wandering around atom smashers with Wilson Hall in the background.

(Hmmm, that may be enough of the caffienated bevearges for you tonight young thatch)

What’s even weirder is that the auditorium next to building is a great concert venue and that a couple of really great jazz concerts were recorded there and I was listening to one yesterday.

    Dont you just love synchronicity?
